It is composed by steel plates with interposed vulcanised rubber. The upper plate subject to a side force moves (10-15 mm max.) but transmits only a minimum part of the constraint to the load cell. It acts as shock and vibrations absorber. It is a thermic insulant between load cell and load structure. It compensates little mis-alignments of the structure. Stainless steel construction.
