EOS-500

The EOS-500 is made from high grade anodized aluminum, ready for installation in any type of weather condition. Whether a Marine Environment or an Industrial application, the precision stainless steel ball bearings provide the highest accuracy for both wind speed and direction information.

The electronics in the EOS-500 are of the highest quality, employing both Triaxes© and magnetic Hall Sensors to ensure a constant measurement. System provides regular NMEA 0183 (RS422) output directly from the weather vane. No need to use adapters. The unit can be used without the display and connected to RosePoint. The EOS-500 has multiple output configurations for various applications: EOS-500-S: Standard; windspeed: 5V Pulse output, Direction: 0.4 – 4.5VDc output EOS-500-M: Marine; NMEA output. ($WIMWV)

EOS-1000

Although the EOS-1000 is one of the most advanced Weather Observation monitoring systems, we have ensured that installation is easy. We have developed the EOS-1000 hardware in such way that the assembly and installation is fast, easy and can be done with just a few regular tools. Systems are shipped with most sensors pre-installed on the stainless-steel brackets.

The EOS-1000 is delivered with 2" (50 mm) stainless steel U-bolts for mast mount installation. As the unit could also be mounted on the side of a structure, stainless steel screws also included with the standard delivery.  

After assembly, depending on the choice of Communication interface, the system can be powered up and connected to the internet. A small internal LCD screen will provide all required information to get access to the station.

Once connected to the internet, depending on the model of your station, you will now be able to access the web-based interface to enter the last required information. After that has been completed, the EOS-1000 will now start collecting all the data. 

The easy accessible cable entry allows expansion of optional modules to be easy. Simply unscrew the strain relief and the cable opening will now be wide enough for additional cables to enter the housing.

EOS-1000M
The EOS marine module makes the regular EOS-1000 into a Marine version of the EOS-1000. Having a Weather system installed on a moving ship provides it challenges.
Where a land-based station is stationary and pointed towards the North, a moving vessel can travel in any direction and speed. Using the vessel’s GPS Speed and course, the EOS-1000M will calculate True wind speed and direction.

Often Weather conditions are observed different offshore than on land. Due to a lack of offshore environmental observation equipment, up-to-date weather conditions are difficult to tell . Therefore, this system was developed based on the customer’s requests to monitor real-time weather conditions while vessels are underway.

Together with EOS partner Seacoast Marine Electronics, the last installation is currently underway on board three large Ferries as well as one shore based Weather observation system on the East coat of Canada.

Marine Display

The AM-706 is a dedicated Marine display. Highly visible from all angles in full sunlight and dimmable for nighttime navigation.

It shows current wind speed in m/s, km/h or knots, as well as the 10 minute average. Wind direction has the same update interval, as well as 1 minute average. The AM-706 is a dedicated Marine display. Highly visible from all angles in full sunlight and dimmable for nighttime navigation.
