Loadstar Sensors, founded in 2004, is the Loadstar Sensorslider for capacitive sensor design and manufacturing for automotive, aerospace, medical device, industrial and consumer applications. 

It currently offers high precision in an easy-to-use, mechanically rugged, low-profile package. Loadstar Sensors produces capacitive load (force / weight) sensors.

Loadstar Sensors' award winning capacitive load cells offer unmatched ease of use in a low profile, rugged and integrated package. Our capacitive load cells offer serial, USB as well as Analog (0-5V DC) output without the need for any special signal conditioning equipment.

These sensors are excellent for applications in controlled room temperature conditions such as those available in R & D labs, Universities and test facilities where one needs to do a quick measurement of loads and forces, log data and visualize the data as a force vs. time plot.  Our USB or wireless load cells can be used directly with a PC while our analog load cells with 0-5 VDC output are ideal for use with a PLC or existing data acquisition system.

Our capacitive load cells offer unmatched ease of use in a low profile, rugged and integrated package. The base output from our digital load cells (iLoad Series and iLoad Pro Series) and interfaces (DI-100) is Serial TTL (5V level digital output).  We then take this base digital output and provide a USB output using our USBA Serial TTL to USB adapter. 

This architecture provides flexibility for customers who want to interface with our load cells from microcontrollers via the Serial TTL (UART protocol), while end users who want high level digital output can easily do so with standard USB or Wireless protocols.  When a user requests analog output, we provide a Hybrid adapter (HX-100) using which the user can obtain BOTH digital USB and Analog 0-5 VDC output.

Our capacitive sensors are appropriate for steady state room temperature conditions where one needs to do quick measurements with a Tare.  If you need to perform long term measurements under varying temperature conditions, then we suggest you take a look at our offering of resistive strain gauge load cells which offer excellent temperature compensation from -10C to 40C and offers accuracies to +/- 0.02% of full scale loads.

ILoad Mini miniature load cells are designed for applications where size is a major constraint. The ILoad Mini is only 1.25 "in diameter and produces a 5V TTL square wave whose frequency is proportional to the applied loads. Resistive Load Cells

Loadstar Sensors offers a wide range of load cells built using bonded foil strain gauge technology. These resistive load cells offer excellent accuracies (as good as +/- 0.02% of full scale accuracy) with temperature compensation usually between -10C to 40C and excellent compensation for off-center loading errors.

Although the base output of these load cells is millivolt range DC voltage output, we offer a variety of signal conditioning devices that can be used to obtain 0-5V DC analog output, Serial TTL output, USB output or wireless output from the load cell that makes it convenient for you to interface them with a PC or PLC or a data acquisition system.
