Tippkemper-Matrix Photoelectric Proximity Switches
Proximity Switch from Prduct family IRS-A / IRN-A / IRD-A
Depending on the amount of diffuse reflected light, the analog sensor IRx-A supplies an analog output signal of 0-10 VDC or 0-20mA (optional 4-20mA). Thus, distance detection can be realized on defined reflection surfaces. With a connected light guide (function as a light barrier), the sensor is also used for the opacity detection of liquids. By means of the potentiometer the sensor can be optimally adapted to the measuring conditions.
This series can be combines with QW type light guides for web edge steering.

Photoelectric Line Sensors Model FLS
FLS series retroreflective line sensors
FLS series devices are line shaped sensors, which are optimized for certain applications.
Type FLS-100-NIR-QI4 is optimized for fluid level measurement of water based liquids.The measurement is done through a glass window. Generally, additives within the water do not influence the measurement. It is known that certain substances (like fat) disturb the measurement. However, other liquids that are not water based (like mineral oil) can be used with this sensor without problems. Please contact us to find the best solution to your application.
Type FLS-100-SIR-QI4 is optimized for web edge control with transparent media like glas or plastic foil. The strength of the FLS series is a high robustness against varying measurement height and unstable angles.

Contact-free skin detection Type SDS-025-P05
The SDS-025-P05 acts as a material-selective reflex light barrier.The safety function (e.g. emergency stop of a tool) is triggered by the presence of human skin. Materials such as wood, cloth, leather, metal or plastics can pass the light barrier without triggering the safety function.
ATTENTION: The device is not certified as an active opto-electronic protective device (AOPD). Use at own risk.

Pushbutton with skin detection SPS-3SB-NIR
The use of gloves is prohibited at certain hand-fed machinery. For instance, it is dangerous to wear gloves while using a stationary drilling machine, because gloves can be caught and winded up by the chuck. The SPS-3SB-NIR pushbutton reminds the user to take off her/his gloves. The presence of a glove is checked while the button is pushed. If gloves are present, the button turns red and the machine does not start. This logic can be reversed for applications were the use of gloves is mandatory (e.g., food or pharma industry).
The SPS-3SB-NIR is based on Siemens 3SB-series pushbuttons and is compatible to common 22mm pushbuttons.

Photoelectric Proximitiy Switches from Product family GDS / GDD
The GDS / GDD series has been specially developed for transparent media such as glass, polycarbonate or water and other clear liquids. An innovative optics ensures that, for example, Glass surfaces can still be detected at inclinations of up to 13 °.
Applications
Counting
Because of the angular stability, a continuous, debounced switching signal is generated, for counting bottles and cartridges on conveyor belts in filling plants. No special background is required.
Proximity Switch
The devices of the GDS / GDD series can also be used as non-contact proximity switches. On glass surfaces they achieve a repeatability of ± 1mm. The thickness of the glass plays a subordinate role. Coated glass, plexiglas or polycarbonate can also be used.
Level Measurement
The analogue output allows precise level measurements on colored and clear liquids. Also fast running water and a certain "wave" is not a problem. In the case of a smooth (water) surface, level differences in the order of magnitude of tenths of a millimeter at the output are measurable.

Types : ISS / ISN / ISD
The (safety) inductive sensors of the IS Series in M30 are designed for the protection and / or monitoring of doors, machine flaps, robots. The(safety) inductive sensors are dirt-sensitive and can be used in almost all industrial areas. The sensors detect metals (e.g., St37). Thus, no magnets or other encodings are needed on the opposite side of the sensors. Due to the sensor construction, a bridging is possible.
Depending on the sensor type, switching distances of 2mm to 40mm (square version 80mm x 80mm) are possible. The downstream safety modules are freely selectable. Additional Ex-devices such as disconnect devices or Zener barriers are not required! The sensors have a CE marking, as well as the GS symbol (category 4 of personal protection) of the MMBG.

Without changing any basic device, our proximity switches and lights barriers can be equipped with light guides. The light guides are, as required, provided in various protective tubes, e.g. V2A, silicone, aluminum or polyamide, available in varios lengths and active cross-sections.
