Electrom Instruments has supplied high-voltage surge testers and winding analysers worldwide since 1986. We specialise in portable surge testers that safely detect weak or unstable insulation in coils and windings. The non-destructive tests meet accepted international standards. The testers are used for both AC and DC rotating equipment with operating voltages up to 13,800V. They are also used for transformers and in transmission line applications. The highest outputs we have provided in a hipot and surge tester so far is 150,000V.

Electrom iTIG III motor tester and winding analyzer
The iTIG III is the industry’s most advanced electric motor tester and winding analyzer. Bringing confidence to motor repair companies, industrial end users, OEMs, and manufacturers of rotating equipment, the iTIG III features over 20 high- and low-voltage tests including high frequency surge and partial discharge.
Electrom iTIG II MINI 4kV to 6kV Coil and Motor Tester
The iTIG II MINI is a smaller, lighter motor tester in a briefcase type enclosure, ideal for field tests of low voltage motors. Since it can be connected to the PP-II Power Pack, it can also be used to test high voltage equipment.
The “MINI” uses iTIG II technology and software, and can do all of the most common tests such as 4-wire winding resistance, insulation resistance (megohm), DC hipot, and surge tests. Max outputs are 4kV to 6kV for both hipot tests and surge tests. It comes in 3 models with different options.
Electrom Portable Power Pack PP-II, 18kV – 40kV
The PP-II is the only truly portable 18kV, 24kV, 30kV & 40kV Power Pack on the market. It connects to the iTIG II and the iTIG II MINI motor testers with a communication cable. Data generated by the PP-II is captured, displayed and stored in the iTIG II. Automatic hipot tests, step voltage tests, surge tests and other tests are available.
Electrom Production Line Test Automation
Electrom Instruments offers a range of systems for Production Line Test Automation (PLTA). This can simply be additional software for the standard iTIG II, or it can be a more complex systems including 4-wire winding resistance measurements, inductance measurements, AC Hipot tests, Surge tests and Partial Discharge tests. Systems include automatic lead switching for automated sequences of tests, and automatic upload and download of test information and test results.
Electrom DC Motor Test Accessories
