1. Capacitor Fuses 

Capacitor - EJ-5/EJO-5 9F60

Description : 
Backup Capacitor current-limiting fuses are designed for individual capacitor protection. The EJ-5 is designed for use indoors or inside an enclosure only. The EJO-5 can be used in any location (indoor or outdoor). The major purposes of such fusing are: (a) to protect the systems from failed capacitor units, and (b) to prevent damage to adjacent capacitors and associated equipment.

2. Fuse Disconnect Switch

Fuse Disconnect Switches - EK-3/EKO-3 9F61

Description :

These devices have the additional feature of serving as disconnecting switches to isolate the equipment they protect. It should be noted that the disconnecting switches are not loadbreaking devices, therefore the circuit must be open prior to the fuse disconnection. The EKO-3 models are designed to be installed outdoors.

3. Fuse Supports

Description :
Mountings of the non-disconnecting type are available. They are used primarily in potential transformer circuits, or where there is some other disconnecting or isolating device in series with the fuse in the circuit. Fuse supports can be mounted vertically or horizontally. The EKO-1 models are designed to be installed outdoors.

4. General Purpose Fuses

General Purpose - EJO-1 9F62

Description :
General Purpose current-limiting fuses are designed to interrupt the high-fault currents and also the low-fault currents down to approximately 1.6 times their continuous current rating. This fuse is defined in the IEEE Std C37.40 -1993 (3.1.57) as "A f capable of interrupting all currents from the rated interrupting current down to the current that causes melting of the fusible element in no less than one hour." These fuses can be used outdoors without any protecting enclosure.

Transformers subjected to overloading or applied on lines without overload protection should be self-protected. Self-protected distribution transformers offer a complete, unified system of overload protection. The primary means of protecting the transformer is the circuit breaker, which is designed to give adequate protection from short circuits and severe overloads

Options:

Signal Light - One of the features of the self-protected pole-type transformer is the signal light. When the transformer is thermally overloaded, the signal light will light, serving as visual evidence that an unusual overload has occurred on the transformer.

Emergency Overload - Through the use of the emergency overload lever, self-protected transformers are able to carry overloads in excess of those normally permitted by the circuit breakers. If a transformer circuit breaker has tripped and the bimetals are still at trip temperature, the use of the emergency overload lever may allow the operator to close the circuit breaker to restore service
