Varedan Analog Linear Amplifiers

Since our founding in 2000, we have developed an extensive product line of analog linear servo amplifiers.   Our designs incorporate class AB linear output stages for true linear output. Our linear amplifiers include an onboard high-speed DSP that monitors all key systems functions in real time, and provides protection for the output bridge by limiting the power to a “Safe Operating Area”. We offer our LALD series for high precision applications which require ultra-low current drift, in the range of micro amps per degree C.

Introducing our new VLA4 Digital Linear Amplifier.  The VLA4 offers Varedan’s existing high performance analog linear servo amplifier technology with our new digital control platform that supports single phase for voice coils or brush-type, ABSine 2phase external commutation for 3-phase motors, internally commutated current mode, velocity or position mode operation.  Feedback options include standard incremental quadrature to modern absolute digital systems such as BiSS and EnDat.

Varedan Intelligent Linear Servo Amplifiers

Varedan has a long history of providing extremely reliable high performance analog linear servo amplifiers for OEM customers. Following that tradition, Varedan’s Intelligent Analog Linear Servo Amplifier extends our product offerings to include advanced digital controls and simple to use PC based VaredanGUI™. The analog current loops(s) are designed for ultra-low current drift, in the range of micro amps per degree C. Furthermore, Varedan’s proprietary circuitry provides gain switching to allow very accurate low-level current (<500mA) control.

VSA1 / VSA2 Series Digital PWM Servo Amplifiers

Varedan has a long history of providing reliable high performance linear servo amplifiers for OEM customers. Following that tradition, the VSA Digital PWM Servo Amplifier line extend our product offerings to include advanced digital controls, efficient power delivery, compact footprint, and simple to use tuning and configuration utilities while retaining the reputation for superior reliability and performance.

The VSA features a powerful microprocessor to provide reliable, high-precision motor control, stored motion profiles, and real-time scope functionality. The VSA features all standard modes of operation, from current (torque) mode to position mode, and includes external sine commutation mode for compatibility with advanced controllers and legacy applications. All standard forms of encoder feedback plus an auxiliary quadrature port can be utilized, giving the user the highest level of flexibility and freedom.

Varedan Power Supplies & Transformers

DC Power Supplies

Varedan has DC Power Supplies up to 1KW which include the internal step-down isolation transformer.  Varedan also has DC Power Supplies that accept external single phase or three phase step down isolation transformer inputs for up to 45KW of peak power.

Varedan AC Step Down Transformers

Standard AC step down isolation transformers to convert Mains Voltages to the lower voltages required by linear amplifiers are available.  Varedan supplies both single phase and three phase transformers.  Single phase transformers are available at 1 and 2 KVA.  Three phase transformers are available at 3, 6 and 9 KVA.
