The cursor construction of the MSL38 provides space saving integration up to 2000mm measurement stroke. To avoid vertical or angular misalignment a link ball is integrated in the cursor sled. For rough environmental conditions we recommend mounting the sensor in overhead position. A drip edge and a special cover under the sled prevent ingress of dust into the sensor. To ensure high accuracy and long lifetime for a good price performance ratio the potentiometric measuring principle is realized with a high-resolution conductive plastic resistance element.
