The POSITAL cable extension transducer SG measure the
linear movement of a component by means of a stainless
steel cable, which is wound onto a drum. The measuring
drum is axially coupled with an absolute encoder. With the
cable extension principle a linear movement is
transformed into a rotary movement and converted into a
absolute digital output. The unit is compatible with all
POSITAL synchro flange (ø6 mm shaft) encoders. Use the
same absolute rotary sensor for different measuring applications.
