Product Description

The TRY14 series offers proportional miniature-size thumb josticks with Hall sensors for long durability and enduring signal quality. Signal output is available in different versions, like dual output or PWM output. The size of this joysticks can be compared with widely used gamepads, but integrated into an industrial-suited housing with a reliable mechanism. Typical applications range from remote controls, arm rest integration or integration into larger joystick handles to swivel arms.

This construction makes the SPR18 sensor robust for linear motion operation with spring return device. Due to his compact industrial design with 18x18mm in the profile and his spring return device a space saving and easy integration can be reached up to 100 mm measurement stroke. To ensure high accuracy and long lifetime for a good price performance ratio the potentiometric measuring principle is realized with a high-resolution conductive plastic resistance element. Since the potentiometric measuring principle delivers absolute values and requires no electronic conversion, the position feedback signal is true power on without delay, temperature stable and robust against EMC influences. For mounting the SPR18 has four fixing clams which are included in the scope of supply. The SPR18 sensor is available with plug or cable connection.

Due to magnetic coupling the drag pulls the wiper mounted on a slider inside the tube which contains the resistive sensor element. This inside cursor construction provides wearlesss movement of the magnetic drag and prevents ingress of dirt or dust to the sensor element. On that way IP67 protection is reached for application in rough environmental conditions. The small diameter of the tube with only 13mm and the cursor construction make the integration space saving and easy.
