Aus seiner sehr guten Linearität (bis zu 0,02%FS), seiner hohen Auflösung (bis zu 5 µm) und der SSI Schnittstelle ergibt sich die sehr hohe Präzision der digitalen Version vom PMS. Die Elektronik mit dem magnetostriktiven Wegelement befinden sich im geschlossenen und abgedichteten Sensorgehäuse mit Schutzart IP67.
