Product Description
In the displacement sensor series REM13 the mechanical detection of linear movement is done by a magnetic drag. Due to magnetic coupling the drag pulls the wiper mounted on a slider inside the tube which contains the resistive sensor element. This inside cursor construction provides wearlesss movement of the magnetic drag and prevents ingress of dirt or dust to the sensor element. On that way IP67 protection is reached for application in rough environmental conditions. The small diameter of the tube with only 13mm and the cursor construction make the integration space saving and easy. To ensure high accuracy and long lifetime for a good price performance ratio the potentiometric measuring principle is realized with a high-resolution conductive plastic resistance element. Since the potentiometric measuring principle delivers absolute values and requires no electronic conversion, the position feedback signal is true power on without delay, temperature stable and robust against EMC influences. The REM13 series is available with cable or plug connection.

The mechanical detection of linear movement is done by a front guided push rod with inside spring return device. To reach high accuracy the push rod is guided with precise sleeve bearings. The precise sleeve bearings are placed inside the shaft with the fitting diameter of 8mmh6. On the push rod an accurate glass scale is mounted. Inside the sensor housing the glass scale passes an electronic board with optical detector which generates counting pulses in TTL or Line Driver level up to 5µm resolution. Due to the glass material the measurement is very temperature stable.

To avoid vertical or angular misalignment a link ball can be mounted on the push rod. For rough environmental conditions the version with IP65 protection can be used. If less displacement force is necessary we recommend the version with IP60 protection. To ensure high accuracy and long lifetime for a good price performance ratio the potentiometric measuring principle is realized with a high-resolution conductive plastic resistance element.
