Screw feeders
The screw feeder is made of a conveyor weighed by a load
cell. The rotational speed of the screw is measured by a speed
transmitter. By multiplying weight signal (kg/m) and speed
signal (m/sec) the microprocessor based unit Microtech 2105
obtain the instantaneous rate; by integrating this value
calculate the total weight. Instantaneous rate is maintained
constantly equal to the set-point by regulating the speed of
the screw conveyor. The electronic unit, controlling through
digital inputs and outputs the screw conveyor start and stop,
is also able to prepare batches on quantity basis.
