Hydraulic Motors

Düsterloh hydraulic motors have been used successfully in industry for decades. Their well-engineered design and robustness guarantee the highest reliability even under harsh operating conditions. In conjunction with downstream brakes and gears, drive solutions are available in a wide variety of variants. The rotational speed and capacity of Düsterloh hydro engines can be adjusted in fast, precise and infinite settings, making the engines particularly suitable for regulating tasks on machines with widely varying capacity requirements.

Pneumatic Motors

Düsterloh pneumatic motors are designed for harsh operating environments such as a constantly humid atmosphere and extreme climatic conditions. The motors can be operated using air, nitrogen or other gases. As standard, they are equipped with protective strainer seals, differential pressure lubricators and adjustable rev limiters. Special versions are available for operation with unlubricated air. Good sound absorption is guaranteed by the long exhaust gas routing, additional downstream sound absorbers can also be delivered. Hardened and ground rotors ensure a long service life.

Pneumatic Starters

Düsterloh pneumatic starters are used to start diesel engines and turbines. They essentially consist of a combination of a geared wheel motor, a single-way pinion with a reduction gear, and a valve. It is particularly suitable for starting diesel engines as the gear wheel develops its greatest torque when the engine is firing. Düsterloh pneumatic starters can be started using air or gas. They are independent of electrical energy systems, maintenance-free and explosion-safe. Reliable operating behaviors guarantee safe start-up of the diesel engine even in extreme environmental conditions; This means they can even be used for applications in the tropics, the Arctic Circle, deserts or coastal areas.

Main features of the Düsterloh-Starters

• Power-range of the starters between 4,7 kW and 70 kW
• For diesel-engines up to 8500 kW (double-start up to 17000 kW)
• Each start is a successful start
• Torques between 31 Nm and 510 Nm
• By needs of higher start-power the starters are working parallel
• Low air consumption between 5,6 and 62 m3 per minute
• Electrical or pneumatic remote control and/or manual respectively emergency operation
• Due to SAE J 542 C standard flanges the pneumatic starters can be exchanged with
electrical starters
• Slow-Turn-facilities for draining cubic capacities under pressure for getting exact
piston-position at inspections
• Air- and gas-operation
• Experience shows high life spans also under extreme climatical conditions, like in
the tropics, the arctic, desert areas or in the off-shore field
• Independant from electrical energy-systems
