Product Description

IMA2-R amplifiers are complete signal processing units for potentiometric transducers and convert potentiometric output signals to standardized signals.

The connected sensor is powered with 5 V by default (supply voltages between 0 and 10 V could be realised on request)

Most of commonly used output signals (0..5 V, 0..10 V, ±5 V, ±10 V, 0..20 mA, 4..20 mA) are available.

The amplifier housing (Phoenix / UEGM) is designed for mounting rails.

The mechanical detection of linear movement is done by a magnetic drag. Due to magnetic coupling the drag pulls the wiper sled inside the tube which contains the resistive sensor element. This inside cursor construction provides wireless movement of the magnetic drag and pretends ingress of dirt or dust to the sensor element. On that way IP67 protection is reached for rough environmental conditions. For easy and space saving installation the tube contains a flange construction in fitting gauge or with thread. The flange permits also installation in hydraulic cylinders with pressures up to 250 bar (450 bar peak). To ensure high accuracy and long lifetime for a good price performance ratio the potentiometric measuring principle is realized with a high-resolution conductive plastic resistance element. For facilitating electronic integration the HEME series is equipped with an electronic signal converter board inside the flange head. Instead of delicate reference voltage a simple 24VDC±20% power supply can be used. The analog signal is provided in the typical form with 4…20mA. In comparison to the pure potentiometric transducer the E-version keeps quite well the true power on function and temperature stability and is EMC approved. The dimensions of the HEME version is only changed in the 5mm longer flange head to the standard version

To ensure high accuracy and long lifetime for a good price performance ratio the potentiometric measuring principle is realized with a high-resolution conductive plastic resistance element. Since the potentiometric measuring principle delivers absolute values and requires no electronic conversion, the position feedback signal is true power on without delay, temperature stable and robust against EMC influences. The REM13 series is available with cable or plug connection.
