  • Angle Calibration

    Tamagawa Seiki was the first private company in Japan that was certified and registered as an accredited angle calibration laboratory since Japan's angle standard was established in 2003. Based on this accreditation, we newly started angle calibration business, which is carried out in accordance with the international accreditation standard: ISO17025 granted to laboratories or calibration organizations performing angle inspection precisely. We were certified and registered as an accredited angle calibration laboratory for JCSS (Japan Calibration Service System) in 2008. Accredited angle calibration laboratories calibrate the angle of the object instruments on the basis of the specified procedures and issue certificates to assure the traceability to the national standard. The certificate is also effective in the world.

    In the field of space-related equipment, Tamagawa Seiki contributes to a variety of onboard equipment for rockets and space stations, by providing rotary sensors, drive motors, actuators, various types of mechanical units as well as their control and drive devices.

  • Inertial Sensors (Gyro)

    During this time, we have introduced a great variety of gyros used mainly for motion control applications in the fields of defense, aircraft and ships. In recent years, our mechanical gyros, gas rate sensors., optical fiber gyros and many devices applying their principles are making their way into the general industrial area, such as automatic guided vehicles, FA, construction and public works, as well as into aircraft and ships.

  • Trackball

    The Trackball, rotated in any desired direction by your hand or fingers, enable position control easily and accurately. It generates precise digital signals by rotating the ball, with a hand or fingers, to any direction.The trackball includes optical encoders having quick response, high reliability, and long lifetime.

  • STEP MOTORS / DRIVERS

    Rotational speed of step motor is defined by pulse rate and its rotational angle is defined by the amount of pulses. These digital signals enable open loop control, which does not require feedback structure. On the other hand the unit step angle is defined by the mechanical structure of a rotor and a stator. The step motor is also called Stepping Motor, Stepper or Pulse Motor because no unified name is established. Tamagawa Seiki Co., Ltd. unifies to call it Step Motor.

  • ROTARY ENCODERS FA-CODER® (INCREMENTAL )

    Incremental encoders generate pulses in a frequency proportional to the rotational speed.The encoders can be used for speed control, position control, or as a rotation indicator or a pulse generator of servo motors mounted in machine tools, robots, or measuring equipment.Optical incremental encoders are composed of rotor plate, fixed slit, light emitting diodes, photo transistors, etc. as shown in Figure 1.The fixed slit is designed to have 90 degree phase difference to the slit on the rotor plate.Output signals are two signals with 90 degrees difference; A-phase signal and B-phase signal, and the rotational direction can be detected with them.There are encoders which output the additional Z-phase signal as the origin signal.When controlling positions with an incremental encoder, the Z signal which shows the origin is used.
