Mining point machine KNZ-2
Application
The mining point machine KNZ-2 is intended to position and to retain in the end positions points of mining railroads of 600, 700 or 900 mm track gauges in carrying gang ways, shaft tops and shaft bottoms. In case of current decay, the mining point machine can be controlled manually. It can also be used to position equipment such as air stoppings, gate valves etc. in various industrial plants.
The mining point machine can be operated in mining underground excavations in methane and methane-free fields classified as degree a, b, c of methane explosion hazard, as well as A, B categories of coal dust explosion hazard. The KNZ-2 point machine is adapted to cooperation with the control unit type USNZ-2 for this machine produced by PEG Czeladź Company.
Design
The housing of the point machine constitutes a welded box. The housing is divided into 2 covers – Main cover, after which take off box with gearbox is opened and connection cover, after open achieving connection of driving unit to control unit is possible. The fastening elements of the box enable new drives to be installed in the place of KEA3 point machines produced previously by ZWUS Katowice.
The KNZ – 2 point machine is supplied with 2 ground constrictors (inner and outer). Protective cable with 2,5 mm² ÷ 4 mm² section should be connected to constrictors. Connection constrictors of protective cables are made from brass.
